Insides Sales Representative

DESCRIPTION
Fluxion is seeking an Inside Sales Rep to support global sales and marketing activities.

The Inside Sales Rep will be responsible for increasing revenue and lead creation by focusing on proactively prospecting and qualifying targeted leads using telephone and email with the goal of converting leads to new opportunities and sales.  The Inside Sales Rep will also provide sales support to the fields sales and product marketing teams.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Prospect, develop, maintain sales pipeline to consistently grow sales
  • Receive and manage incoming sales inquiries via e-mail and phone, documenting inquiries, generating quotes, providing appropriate products based upon information obtained during the call.
  • Become knowledgeable about all products and workflows to provide relevant information to customers.
  • Follow up on marketing qualified leads to generate new business and expand existing sales.
  • Perform high volume of cold calls to prospect and develop qualified leads
  • Liaison with sales force, client services and external customers
  • Provide support to field sales team and internal marketing team for sales and marketing initiatives
  • Schedule appointments with prospective clients for field sales
  • Increase customer awareness, knowledge and interest in Fluxion products
  • Organize and prioritize sales lead information into CRM
  • Analyze trends and patterns; communicate appropriate recommendations to sales team
  • Escalate customer issues when necessary to ensure client satisfaction
  • Accomplish or surpass performance objectives set by sales management

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in the sciences
  • 1-3 years sales experience preferred 
  • Strong interpersonal oral and written communication skills
  • High level of customer service (both internal and external clients)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are critical
  • Good working knowledge of CRM (Base CRM a plus)
  • Tech savvy – proficient with MS Office
  • Strong team player yet able to work independently
  • Composed under pressure; able to juggle multiple simultaneous projects
  • Ability to be nimble and flexible in a growing/changing environment
  • Knowledge of cell biology and basic life sciences laboratory practices
  • Biotech or molecular diagnostic industry a plus

Sales Manager – Life Science and Dx Tools

DESCRIPTION

Fluxion is currently looking for an experienced Sales Manager to lead the commercialization effort for the IsoFlux CTC Liquid Biopsy System. This position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sales professional to take on a leadership role in the rapid commercial growth of a new instrumentation platform that will have a major impact in the field of cancer diagnostics. The successful candidate will be a natural ‘closer’ and contribute to both sales and business development activities as well as serving as a sales liaison to the project and management teams.

This high visibility position will focus on the commercial adoption of the IsoFlux System within university, research center, biopharma, and clinical lab sites. The ideal candidate will have a background in sales and business development in the life science tools and diagnostics industry. A strong, verifiable track record of closing sales opportunities and exceeding projections is imperative for this role. This is a consultative sales role – the ideal candidate will able to maintain a high degree of technical knowledge and interact with high level customers across a variety of institutions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Maintain responsibility for hitting the sales targets of the IsoFlux System, both in the US and internationally
  • Manage the sales pipeline by accurately tracking sales opportunities according to customer segment and progression towards closing
  • Pursue sales prospects coming from a variety of sources (marketing and business development activities) by offering sales presentations, technical consultations, evaluations, etc.
  • Work closely with the product and technical teams (field and in-house application scientists) to address customer inquiries and product evaluations
  • Conduct negotiations surrounding purchase orders, placements, etc. and ensure timely closing of opportunities
  • Analyze the key metrics surrounding progression of sales opportunities and be prepared to make recommendations to optimize the sales cycle and product positioning
  • Work closely with Fluxion’s network of international distributors to maintain sales targets in their geographies and close individual sales opportunities
  • Identify new areas of commercial growth for the existing IsoFlux product and make recommendations for future product development
  • Represent the product and company at US and international conferences and trade show exhibits
  • Identify and pursue sales and business development channels beyond single institution sales, including: OEM, private label, CRO/Reference Lab, and Dx partnerships

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors level degree in the biological sciences or engineering (MS, MBA, or Ph.D. preferred)
  • A MINIMIUM of 5 full years of experience with a life science tools or diagnostics company
  • A MINIMUM of 3 full years of experience in a direct sales role for instrumentation / capital equipment (>$10K) with ownership of territorial or product sales number
  • Additional experience in marketing, business development, and/or product development preferred
  • Direct experience as a sales professional with a company in any of the following areas:
    • Oncology diagnostic instrumentation
    • Biomarker testing / diagnostics
    • NGS instrumentation or reagents
    • Pathology / microscopy instrumentation
  • Ability to work both independently and within the team structure, good teamwork attitude a must
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and changing environment
  • Flexible and quickly adaptable to changing priorities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and meticulous record keeping
  • Experience with sales CRM platforms
  • Moderate travel (20-40%) required to cover customer visits, conferences, and international distributors

Sales Director, Europe and MEA – Life Science and Dx Tools

Job Description

Fluxion is currently looking for an experienced Sales Director to lead the sales efforts for its IsoFlux, BioFlux, and IonFlux platforms in Europe and the MEA region (Middle East and Africa). This position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sales professional to take on a leadership role in driving sales, developing and implementing regional sales and distribution strategies, and launching new technologies into the life sciences research and cancer Dx markets. The successful candidate will be a natural ‘closer’ and contribute to sales and business development activities as well as serving as a sales liaison to the project and management teams.

This high visibility position will focus on sales of Fluxion’s platforms within university, research center, biopharma, and clinical lab sites. Currently, sales are made through distributors with some key geographies that are not presently covered. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to revamp the drive the build-out of a revamped distributor or establish a distributor/direct hybrid model. The ideal candidate will have a background in sales and business development in the life science tools and diagnostics industry. A strong, verifiable track record of closing sales opportunities and exceeding projections is imperative for this role. This is a consultative sales role – the ideal candidate will able to maintain a high degree of technical knowledge and interact with high-level customers across a variety of institutions. The ideal candidate will also have a track record in channel analysis, channel strategy, and implementation of new channel models.

This job will require the following attributes:
